Default Two o2 sensors needed??

Yeah so I keep posting about my ish rex project that somehow seemed to go to hell in the last year. Does n e body know if you need both O2 sensors on a jdm b16a for it to run right??

The jdm headers came with the two, but I put on a dc sport one with only one O2 sensor bung at the collector just before the cat. It seems to run the same w/ some slight irreglr idle at times, but it always did that b4 too. Plus after looking at them I think the other o2 sensor was broken anyway.

I've heard that with a OBD0 PWO ecu like mine that you only need one sensor anyways but is that really true? I do have a pwo spoon ecu I got from japan but i havn't put it in yet. Someone said that with a upgraded or 'chip'd ecu like that that the sensor things not even gonna matter?!?

I'm confused???!!!!!???????

With the stock obd0 pw0 or pr3 ecu you need both o2 sensors hooked up in the right locations of the header to run right..Alot of people that run headers with 1 o2 bung just splice both wires into the one o2 sensor,,If they're not hooked up right it usually bogs..

But when chipping the ecu you have a choice to eliminate o2 sensors completly..

Just take your car to an exhaust shop and have them weld 2 O2 sensors in the correct spots. Also have them plug the old the O2 sensor spot. Your car will run way smoother and will be set right.

Just like this:

I've had 3 headers done like that after seeing Hasports. It works perfect just like its supposed to.
