ok i have a b16 in my 92 hatch. i had it in a 93 hatch last year. just before i pulled the motor, i noticed that the engine light would come on after driving for about 5 mins after the car was warmed up.

got it swapped into my 92 hatch now and its doing the same thing, ONLY after i drive it for a little after its warmed up.

i know code 23 is for knock sensor and 20 is the ELD, but i cant see how it would throw both codes at the same time when driving. i reset teh ecu a few times and still the same

would a bad knock sensor cause the ELD code too? or would the ELD code cause the knock code?

the car is working fine when the codes are on, and when im on the highway and the code is on, i can shut the car off and turn it back on while coasting and the light will go off for about 5 mins again then back on, im stumpped.

ya everything is wired up correctly, when the light came on for the 1st time ever, i was just driving along the highway. im using a jdm p30.

im going to check out my knock sensor next time i can, but i was wondering if it might have somtehing to do with the alternator or something?

 

bump, before it came on the 1st time i was driving it a good 3 months...

 

ok got it fixed today, re-checked my knock sensor and it was comming loose, tightened that biatch up and no more code after driving it for about an hour
