The title says the question. What's faster in the 1/4 mile. I already know the answer to this one (b20 obviously) but I'd like to get other opinions and there reasons why they feel which one is faster than the other. Ya'll can even state which one accelerates faster on the highway too. That one I also feel the B20 but that scenerio is much closer and based on which motor is more healthy and who is the better driver because I do remember one occasion where a B16 beat me from a 3rd role on when I was non vtec but the odds were against me that day anyway because he had way more mods than me plus I had a 210lb passenger. That was the only time though. All of my other experiences with B16s brought me Ws, 1/4 mile and Highway.

Also mods and others please don't get mad or flame because these threads only bring publicity to the site and are fun. Well to me there fun

I know how to use the search but I wanted to start this thread and that thread is a totally different subject to this.

as you were asking, there are various 1/4 miles between the two.

this depends on what kind of racing you're dealing with (drag or rr/auto-x), then other stuff will come into play. common sense factoring in the 1/4mile will kick in since you know the B20 has more torque, but...

this depends on what kind of racing you're dealing with (drag or rr/auto-x), then other stuff will come into play. common sense factoring will kick in since you know the B20 has more torque, but...

Too be honest the reason I posted the threads is because I love discussions/debates and love the going back and fourth. Not trying to start arguements or conflicts. Just friendly debates between different Honda-tech members. I already know the B20 non vtec is faster.

 

go with b20vtec. but i would say the b20 would be faster. it makes more tq than a b16 and you can up the cams to some 403s and that shiet will be quick.
