this decision is really up to you. do you feel like driving around in a hatch or a coupe? do you feel like lookin at a hatch or a coupe everyday? it all depends on what body style car you like best.

why does everyone say that????

There are so many members on this forum, if a civic gets jacked... everyone freaks and get's scared... maybe 2/181560 users every month or so will get there car jacked maybe more, but common? that's not alot...

I don't have an alarm in my car just regular locks.. and I leave my deck in my car 24/7...
Maybe there are alot less thefts up here?

please dont be so naive, Hondas and Acuras DO get stolen a lot more then any other cars out there. I have had one stolen and broken into BUT i do believe that it has something to do with where you live. I lived in a small town for a while and I rarely even locked the doors when in a parking lot (my boosted ek hatch), but now that I live in orlando these peices of **** theives are constantly stealing things all the time, yesterday some theives broke into 15 cars in the ucf area and only stole random stuff like CD's and clothes. I know this cause the girl I am currently talking to was one of them and the police actually caught the AHoles and found out that they were the ones behind a lotta thefts like these in the past couple of years. so FU&$ those imported peices of ****.

WTF... i havent even bought the car yet and u guys got me gettin jaked! thats fuked talk about ur e-thug... i like the CTR hatch alot but ive taken a ride in a Blue Em1 and i cant shake that lovely feeling of the stock b16 vtec

Smoke ~ invading a block near u in da 206 =D

*Edit*

that makes no sence up there.. i mean the hatch would be nice and economical (no as showy as the Em1) and i could do just about the same under the hood.. but the Em1 i wouldnt have to do much modification to throw ANY B series motor in it.. and i think it would end up costing me more in the long run to do what i want with the hatch.. i eventually want a B series motor..or maybe a K if i can afford it.. i dunno whatta u guys think??

id your satisfied with the power of a b16, get the si. If you think you will want more power, get the hatch and put a gsr in it

Buy the EM1 and have fun with it. THen when you get tired of it, build the motor. Then when you get tired of that, but a hatch and throw your built motor into that, and buy an itr motor for the EM1 (I personally think the ITR motor compliments the chassis of the EM1 far better than the b16 does, as far as stockness goes). Then build the ITR and poof you have two sweet *** rides.

Don't buy a shitty EK. The EJ6 hatch blows and the EM1 is worse.

Get something that doesn't suck. Like any Civic before '96.

Get the Si, I'm sorry but I've never seen a hatch that I've liked over the styling of an EM1. That, and I know a guy who has run 563whp on his B16, so I'm uber biased.

Hatch. If you're going for performance, weight matters.

You're local to me so let me tell you the best idea.

Buy a Pinto and leave it at that. Car thieves around here are pretty bad.

Get the EM1 if your trying to get a daily driver. You get a nice motor work with & alot of trunk space.
