ok???i dont know what a short shifter kit is...but...yes you can use a short shifter..hmmmm you dont have to have any kind of kit to use a short shifter. you just unhook your shifter and bolt the short shifter in.

well the guy that had my car before me put a short shifter kit im not sure what it is but i wanted to no if i could use the short shifter with the kit that i already have

If the previous owner put in a "short shifter kit" then you already have a short shifter. Installing another one would be completely pointless.

What if the previous owner installed an ebay style short shifter and he wants to install a B & M?

Yes you can...shifter are the same from 88-00, dual bends.

My shift linkage came with a B&M short shifter, I got it from 2point2, he knows his stuff.
