O2 Sensor and ABS Vel. Sensor
G'day,
I finally figured I should go about fixing up my car (1993 Accord EX-R) and decided to find out why my CEL and ABS Light were on (in spite of the fact my ex-mechanics told me "not to worry about it." Aren't I clever -.-)
Anyway, I pulled the codes and got 41 (O2 sensor, heater circuit) for the CEL and 4-1 (Front right velocity sensor) for the ABS light. Spooky.
I talked with some Honda mechanics at one of the local dealerships and they were quoting me ~$200 apiece for a new O2 sensor and a new velocity sensor.
... Is there some other way I can go about dealing with this beyond straight-out replacement? As it stands I have to acquire a new blower motor for the thing, which (surprisingly!) costs ~$200 new. I might just cheap out and solder on some new brushes, but even then $400 is a lot of money.
Thanks muchly!

nothing much you can do short of rigging things which wouldnt last for very long...if I was strapped for cash I would fix the 02 sensor first so your motor can actually run correctly and then do the blower, then ABS...im sure u can get the 02 sensor for less than 200$ and change it yourself..same with ABS (you can change yourself but I guess parts wise you are kinda screwed), blower motor is preety much the same deal.
Good Luck
Good Luck
As for the abs code 4-1 rt frt wheel sensor, here is what you do, ...First off do a visual inspection make sure everything looks in order, no broken wires etc etc..if all looks good
, disconnect the plug at wheel sensor frt rt and chk the resistance ,you need a multimeter ,...resistance should be 700 to 1100 ohms,, if it is out of this scale replace wheel sensor, remove abs b2 fuse for about 30 seconds to clear the computer , reinstall fuse and retry ..
as for the o2 sensor, if need to be ,,replace it with a honda sensor
as for the blower motor , I hate to advice this but, the DEADZONE (autozone ) sells them , a lot cheaper than what you paid for ..
