I just wanted to complain about how much my car pisses me off. When i first got the car it had a bad tps. well i just got a new throttle body and tps. I fixed that problem. The car ran like a champ for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden it wouldnt start. Nothing wrong with my motor at all when i last turned it off. I really cant figure out whats wrong. the guy before me ran a button to check to ecu and i cant figure the **** out he tells me and it doesnt seem to work. I swapped a friends chipped p28 in and nope... not an ecu prob. Put mine in and it acted like it wanted to start. It started for a sec and stalled out. I put in diff spark plugs in cuz the old ones were soaked in fuel. Well then it started right up and i reved it and almost stalled out. then later it was boggin down and stalled out and it hasnt started since. they were just plugs outta the glove box that we gave me (extra ones he said ) Well now my car is just wanting to start but acts like its not getting air or like it doesnt have enough fuel to start it or something i dunno i really aint got much money to be dickin with this thing and id like to know whats wrong. It cranks over and just about starts and stops. Can anyone please help me out or if anyone is around the state line/ greencastle/ waynesboro/ or chambersburg pennsylvania area i would really appreciate some to help me out here. if i didnt love the damn car so much i would push it off a cliff. Im really frusterated. Someone help me please

Does the exhaust smell like gas? If so, its too rich. Try your MAP sensor (on the firewall) or the oxygen sensor.

Or maybe, what TPS did you get? The DX and Si ones have 2 wires switched, meaning at idel it'll think you have the petal to the floor and vice versa.

 

well it is burning really rich i mean u can smell it bad. my dad says the spark plugs could be fouled out. I have h22 injectors on the sohc 1.6 and that could be the reason. im gonna try swappin then with ls injectors to see if itll work and swap out the spark plugs when i do it. And how would i check for the map sensor to work and the oxygen sensor? Should i test them with multi meters and what should it read. Thanks a lot mean
