Default my 87 project WARNING lots of pics

this is my 87 project car ive been working on.. i have done alot to it.. since the last time i posted. heres a list of what all ive done to it.

new alternator, plugs, plug wires,painted valve cover, working o na hose job, cleaned the carb out, got the dents out of the door, shaved the antenna, i have been working on putting 88-91 euro tails in.. that i have been blacking out and i frosted the tailights with 320 grit sandpaper, i made a carbon fiber wing from parts that was given to me. the cluch is getting ready to be changed out next week sometime and i got my 88-91 projectors in, i shaved the header panel to where its just one piece..well heres the pics.. yes i am trying to make it look liek a rice rocket lol but i am doing this build BY MYSELF im learning body work on my own with a little help from the member harmonator84 ... heres the project pics..
BEFORE...



i made a wing from spare parts i had laing around.. and i got this piece of fiberglass given to me..




i stripped it down to nearly nothing heres what it looks like RIGHT NOW up there..


YES I KNOW its off center im working with the body work right now..
i mean im tryin to put 2nd gen parts on a 1st gen..

hold on gotta make another post to show more progress pics..

ok now onto the rest..
ive worked o nthe engine.. BEFORE..

AFTER..

thats as of now im workin on it as i go along..

ummm i got the back bumper and the front bumper off to put a body kit on..
i got RX8 sideskirts for 40 bucks i cut down to get to fit on there I THINK its goin to be ok..

after i cut one of them RSX on top CRX on bottom... BIG SIZE DIFFERENCE..

here they are o nthe car as a test fit. just to get an idea..



i need to glass it back together ill get around to that.. lets see what else i have...
heres a pic of the shaved header panel..

notice it doesnt have the bottom air holes in it.. ill have to glass it some more to make room for these babies..

and here they are test fitted o nthe car..

ok.. here we go with somemore..
im planning on painting the car black flat black..
so i worked on my euro tails and frosted them with 320 grit sandpaper..
before..

AFTER..




im workin o na special COLD AIR INTAKE to go over my car.. heres pics im makin it outta fiberglass..




thats pretty much it.. ill post more progress pics as i push on...

cause.. I LOVE IT..
lol..
shitty loud muffler, stickers, NOT TO MANY but alot.. i dunno.. just weird like that.. u all HAVE TI GIVE ME CREDIT THO im fittin parts for the 88-91 crx to an 87.. and theres big differences if u havent noticed ive had to cut a hole in my back fender near the tailight to make it look flush for thtailight when i put it on.. the mai nreason im doin this rice build is to like show i can put them parts on a 1st gen.. lol

i will have to say though david those talilights look alot better now that you painted the trim on them, i like that...dont listen to what everyone says all the time, its your car do what you want. i am going to have to post pics of my car on here now and the progress im making.
your engine bay looks GOOD now, and i LOVE those headlights. just keep it up and we will be going to all these crx meets.

wow, carbed engine. is that an hf? the main reason why i'm dumping my 87 hf is because it's underpowered, has a bent frame, and doesnt support EFI. but i think you've just shined a bit of light on my car.

I dig that you have the nuts to go against the grain but keep in mind that it costs twice as much to go back to what it used to be, a great piece of Honda's heritage.........word.

I dont know what the 1st gen crx's are like, but they look pretty similar to the 86-89 carbed accords (LX and DX). Anyway, for cai's and ram air set-ups we adapted the part of the intake that mounts to the manifold of the d15. Kind of a hard piece to explain, but we just bored the hole a little to fit our carbs and pulled the little metal shield and they worked great.
