Default name this problem

ok so here goes car got low on oil because its burning it like mad then i heard a noise that sounds like something its rattleing around in my engine bay, at high rpms, and ive been driving it back and forth to work and now it wont idle the car is a 00 ex with the d16y8

he's probably right. you were just asking for it driving around low on oil. On the bright side, D16 blocks are cheap...

yeah i just threw out my D16y8 was bottom end... had the same symptoms... give it a week or 2 and it wont stop rattling....

I actually think your car magically became supercharged....congrats enjoi.
Not really but why in gods name would you drive a car low on oil in the high RPM's?

well i did that too, it was on persose myself... i knew id never do an engine swap without a reason behind it... and well i figure a low end problem would def be a reason to swap....

otherwize id still be sporting a D block....

well like i said it burnt oil fast and where i was at when the light came on it took a good little while to get to a place that sold oil that late at night and i didnt have an extra qt in my car just cause ive only had the car a month

congrats bro... your the winner of a new slightly used motor ... better start calling the junk yards... be aware of the guys on ebay that have the 30k motors I have found that most of them are just rebuilt and sold as 30k motors.
