Default anyone here actually have those jdm style CF hoods for usdm civic/crx's?

Anyone have this "hump" reversed hood?

If you do, would you mind posting a pic of it. I've searched but no one has actually posted a pic of it.

I might have to get one because of hood clearance issues..

Thanks a lot.

bump. I'd like to see the same thing. I'm gonna do a b16 swap and not sure that the stock hood will have the amount of clearance that I will need. I'm getting a carbonfiber hood but want to make sure that I do it wright the first time.

A stock hood will cover a B series. HASport, and most mount kit companies realise that not everyone has a JDM front end, so they make sure the stock hood will fit.

Your looking for the Civic/CRX SIR hood, don't say the reverse hump...

I bought mine used, but it was in great condtion. It was local so I didn't have to fork over the $$$ for shipping. The fitment was good. Some people have problems with fitment, some don't. It's a hit or miss kind of thing.

Those are only designed to clear the giant cam gear of the DOHC ZC...too bad the stock USDM can clean it no problem...

Honestly, your local speedshop (haha...speedshop) that does imports can get this hood if they do appearance aswell. I don't know who makes them, but I'm sure any CF hood making companies can do them.

No. The fitment is exactly like the USDM only you have maybe 1 extra inch of clearance at the peek, the middle.

EG rads have to lean or have the support cut out. I hear 95 Neon rads fit, but they have in line rad caps...so that suck. Cut and fab the lower cross member to accept one.

If you use a mounting kit there is no clearance issue. If you have cheap mounts then I can see your valve cover hitting the hood. HASport kits are nice and tight, if you can shut the hood, it won't rub.

But I dont know if having a B20 makes any difference.

With the hasport mounts and a B18/B20 you need to cut out some of the webbing from the underside of the stock hood. Hasport designed the mounts for the B16 and not exactly for the taller B18/B20 blocks. I don't believe they plan to change that though due to not wanting to sacrifice precious ground clearance.

x3. The Hasport mount kit still has clearance issues.

But then again B18B, B18C, B16B, B20 all have higher deck height than B16A. Not sure if you'll have clearance issues with B16A.
