oil changing every 1800 miles??????
i know that you suppose to get an oil changed about every 3000 miles. I have an ep3, i get an early oil changed about every 2000 mile.....because the oil (GTX) got really thick and black which causes my car to run (not normal). If i continue to run the car, it'll get worse..... is this weird? can anyone tell me what is wrong with my car?
Its not the oil. Castrol GTX is perfectly good oil to run.
What weight are you running? A safe weight would be 10w-30.
If problems presist you should get a techinician to take a look.

i uses the 5W-20 GTX.....thats required for an ep3.
and also, there is another problem.....for about every 800 miles, i added another quart of GTX...(i swear there's NO oil leaking)

It's damn near impossible to diagnose mechanical issues online. Start with that as a given. However, as another poster stated, there's nothing wrong with Castrol GTX 5-20w for the EP3. It's an excellent oil with a ton of detergents added to keep the evil stuff in suspension until you drain the mess out.
That said, if (big if) as you said, the oil is "thickening" in 2k miles, that's a problem. If you're correct, that would suggest your engine is running hot -- very, very hot. I doubt that, however. You'd know it if your engine was consistently running above normal temps: You'd smell it, and the water temp gauge would begin climbing whenever you were sitting at a traffic light.
But, you also said your oil is turning black at 2k and that you're going through a quart of the stuff every 800 miles. Again, this is hard to diagnose by email, but your description suggests you've got a piston-ring sealing problem, particularly if the oil isn't leaking somewhere.
So, my suggestion is you find a shop and mechanic you trust, and pony up $50-60 for a "leak down test" (not just a compression test). A leak down test will indicate whether spent gases are leaking by the piston rings contaminating the oil. That would cause higher oil consumption and cause the oil to darken quickly.
Again, this is all speculation (guessing) until you know whether your engine rings &/or cylinder walls are prematurely worn.

Whoops somehow forgot to include this in my post. The above information is my guess as well, but like stated above its speculation so have a honda technician look at it.
