CW 1998 Integra Type R STOLEN in SC
Whats up guys. I've have been on the board gathering information learning as much as i could about my recently acquired and now stolen Type R. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago from Mcdaniel Acura in Charleston SC. it's was CLEAN 71000 miles and garage kept. all stock, 1 owner that was a retired Navy guy. He took care of the car the way it should have been. With that i was very excited and happy about buying the R. The car was the topic of debate here in charleston and it almost seemed like a race to buy the car first. I had know idea though. anyway today 4-7-06 i go to leave to go to work and the car was gone. I have yet to make the 1st payment on it. it was stolen from my house in Summerville SC off of bacons bridge rd for all the honda-tech members in charleston. keep a look out for it and if you see it call the cops. i don't know what number type R it is, but it's all stock. you know the description. thanks guys and i hope the po po can find it, motor and seats and everything intact. not only does it suck the car was stolen, but so was a atleast $600 worth of cd's and all my work stuff and my freaking RHYMES. its terrible! i hope they die.
Might wanna give the guys at R&D a call and tell them to be on the lookout also.. a few extra sets of eyes never hurts... will give my guys here a heads up also.... best of luck

I almost bought that car.
Pretty crazy...I lived in Newington for 20+ years, and thats off Bacons Bridge Rd.
I'm really surprised it was stolen there....and sorry to hear that too.
I park my car in my parents driveway whenever I visit....guess I'll beg for the garage from now on.
Good luck!
Oh, and btw, I'm pretty sure it was 1133 on the armrest.

Damn man, that really sucks, after only 3 weeks! My condolences. I'd love to get an ITR of my own, but its this damn thieving **** that gives me doubts. It's stories like these that make me believe in drastic anti-theft ideas. Like setting bear traps around the car at night and see what you have there in the morn, or if after 5 minutes of driving you need to enter a secret code in a keypad or else the doors lock and the car self-destructs!! If I can't have her, no one can!! hehe JK or not.

OMG. I can not believe this. When I read these posts, I always think we are somewhat safe in Charleston from crimes like these. WOW. And I know you had big plans for the car, too. Call me if you need anything.

Yeah, I called on that car, also. The salesman also told me 1133, IIRC.
Sorry about the loss.

Perry, Jeff from up at R&D. I have already been making calls to fill the locals in and to keep an eye out. Theres enough good people around, that if anyone tries to sell anything, it will be found. I can't believe this is happening in our town. Shoot me an IM with details of where it was stolen. Thanks.

that is sad and upsetting news, esp when you think how far the car has come in being cared for by her first owner all these years...truly sucks for the itr community again
what anti-theft measures did you have or do you have any clues as to how they took her?

Perry,
Who even knew you had the car? Its not like you were sporting it around town. I would start there. I bet it's someone you know, whether first or second hand. It's just crazy - original owner had the car for what, 7-8 years with no issues? And, its not like that area is super high crime, right - at least it wasn't when I grew up in summerville.

!!!!!!!
Best of luck on a recovery of the car intact.
