1700$ too much?

Default 1700$ too much?

is 1700 too much to have a built gsr motor installed into my 97 civic hx coupe.

1700 for install only. mounts everything.

that sounds like a ripoff. Why dont you learn how to do it all yourself? Then it would almost be free.....but take forever . Good luck!!

1700 is rather high.

yeha if you do it yourself its almost free as said by turbolaxx... i mean try ask a few of your buddies if their down to help, grab a few cases of beer and call it a evening :-)

ya, unless they're including a ton of parts or something, that's a bad price. B-swaps should probly run you like 500-800 for labor, depending on which shop, how much wiring/conversion **** they have to do, etc. Are they gonna build the motor for ya too?

you can find a another place bro...if i were you...call up some shops you know who are legit and ask them to refer you to some shops....but doing it yourself isn't too bad...just get some friends and peeps who know what there doing...my roomates and i just did a gsr swap....our first swap...runs hella good...

just buy a cherry picker and do it yourself.

you don't even need a cherry-picker, although it makes things easier, to do it yourself. Just jack the car up, slide the motor in, and drop the car down.

i would agree with the other people, i was quoted at shops around here for like ... 700 and if i wanted timing belt and water pump and oil pump about 1000 ish

my shop does swaps form 500 to 700, but there not that good at wiring lol. i had to wire my own vtec. but 1700 just to put it in is rediculous/
did you say they including mounts? how much do they want for the mounts alone.
get your own mounts an give them 5-700
