it's weird. when I first saw them pre-release I was like WTF I don't like that at all. and then even when I sat down it picking mine up I thought it was a little weird, but cool.
now after driving around with it for 2 months... when I drive a car without a digital speedo it throws me off. ha ha ha, or I feel like I'm taking my eyes off the road too much or something.

I've only driven an 06 Civic for about 10 minutes on a test drive....
Love the dual layout
...coming from a 95 VX, why wouldn't I

Yeah, the speedo is in a good spot, less eye movement to check your speed. You can still 'see' the road when youre looking at your speed. I like them, makes me more confident of my exact speed, no more 'i was only going around...'

aside from the digital speedo I see zero resemblance. sorry.

I don't like it due the fact I find RPM's more imp't than speed. Over time you memorize what speed you are at based on rpm. You have to look lower to see rpm's which I found a lil annoying on my test drive. This is the case for manual cars obviously. For auto's, the 2 tier design is good.
ok relax, just because he stated it came from the S2000 you have to call him a dumb expletive. Come on big **** and you know what I wouldn't be surprised if they took the idea from the S2000.

ha, I wonder why we don't believe you? hmm....
I actually like the old style gauges. I agree with whoever said rpm is more important in manual cars. Your absolutley right. On the road I want to know my speed, on the track, RPM and gearing is far more important to know.

You're right. I learned that when I bought my GSX-R a couple years ago. Especially when competitive driving, you can't spend all your time watching your gauges. Once you truly "learn" your car, you can just listen to it and base your shifts/speed on the sound of your engine. As far as the new Si in particular....I must say that I absolutely LOVE the shift light being that close to my line-of-sight when driving. Every once in a while, I see it blinking out of the corner of my eye = SHIFT. Who cares about anything else! lol
Drive hard or buy a Corolla!!!! lol
