For the love of God....
Someone please explain to me WTF Ricers are talking about.
WTF is Granny Shifting, Double clutching & Power Shifting.
Is this stuff you learn in SCCA classes?

Granny shifting is when you press the clutch in and release the gas when shifting.
Speed shifting or power shifting is when you shift quickly using the clutch, but not releasing the gas pedal
I am not 100% sure on double clutch but I believe you press the clutch pull it into neutral release the clutch then press the clutch again while hitting the gas and putting it into another gear and release the clutch. It has to do something with rev matching, but I could be wrong.

Dude, who gave you the Ricer translation guide?
Granny shifting = I do this normally, even when racing. I'm really fast at it though, can usually switch gears before my revs drop. Am I shifting wrong?
Power Shifting = Isn't this bad? I'm usually already at redline before I shift.
Double Clutching = This is just retarded. You don't have to release the clutch to Rev match. Heel & Toe FTW.

something I overheard while I got stuck at the ontario street races WAAAAAY back, "yea, I shift like a pro. I don't even use the clutch, I floor the gas and let the rev limiter drop the revs so I can shift" sigh....

when you shift into a higher gear *ex, 2nd to 3rd* you have to press and depress the clutch and the before you put it into 3rd you press the clutch in again and put it in gear. Then you get no grind
Hard to explain, but you can also double clutch if you have bad synchro's in you tranny so you can stop the grind.

i saw a writeup a couple months back on uses for and how to double clutch. one guy's cluth blew out and he was about 200 miles from home and double clutched it back home. anybody remember this post? i'll search.

Sounds just like the conversations at work. I've over heard the same guys talking about how ground effects help with aerodynamic in the 1/4 mile run.

In our car powershifting does make a difference, but the difference does not outweigh the side effects that can be caused by doing it. When I was racing a bolt on 350z a while back I noticed about a car and a half difference between powershifting and not from 25-120
