timing issue pleaase help out
i have a jdm single cam. i went to adjust the timing tonight. and i allinged the marks on the crank pulley by moving the dizy. the car was warmed up and everything. but now the dizzy is turned to full advance. and that doent add up.
also the car is running kind of weaker now ... any ideas.. would a lightened flywheel have anything to do with it.. should i take it back to retarded??

If the dizzy is at full advance and it's at 16 degree, then you need to recheck the timing mark.
It should be off....
Thing of this for a sec see if it make sense to you.
On a adjustable cam gear, if you retard the sprocket, you have to advance the dizzy.
If you Advance the cam gear, then you have to retard the dizzy.
To be at 16 degree....
In your case if the CRANK PULLY is at TDC, then your cam sprocket is OFF.
The car is weaker not because of the lightweight flywheel, i have one on my LS/Vtec it's awesome.
Hope it helps you out a little, good luck.....
