How to remove shock and spring assembly??
I have a 4dr 2000 v6 accord and just got Tien H Tech springs. I was wonderning if anyone had a write up or pictures on how to remove the front & rear shock and spring assembly ?? Im doing the install myself with a couple of friends
Thanks
Thanks
I've tried a search on that, but didn't find any "how to" for 2000 accord or even 6th generation.
Might want to pick a haynes manual for that, hopefully they already have a manual for that model accord!

Ok noww that we have that established.
FRONT You just need to unbolt the U shaped (forget the name) bracket on the bottom of the strut and lay it on the ground. Unbolt the brake line and and ABS wire (if equiped).
Then from the top take off the three bolts from the tower and the strut falls out.
***BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP!**
Place the comprssor on the spring and compress it untill you can move it freely then remove the 14mm bolt from the top of the strut. (if it spins the strut release a little bit of spring tension and it should begin to move, be sure to re-tighten the compressor once the bolt begins to move, if that doesn't work just use a hand wrench and a allen key)
keep track of the strut caps and parts so everything goes back in the right order.
If you have any more questions just ask!
The rear is the same concept just different mounting points. The top bolts can be found behind the trunk side liners.
