Suspension disassembly problem :(
Hey guys, im switching to ITR shocks from DC4 shocks, and im trying to switch over my eibach springs to the itr shocks from the DC4 shocks. the problem is that when im trying to disassemble the original shocks, the top nuts seem to be seized onto the threaded part of the sock ram. I have already stripped the inside of one of my shock rams with an allan key and a wrench, so i decided to borrow an air compressor. ive just been in the garage for an hour, and managed to get one assembly apart, but the other 3 are being very stubborn. i know that the shock ram spins when you dont use an allan key but i really dont want to strip more assemblies. right now i've put honey goo lubricant on the nuts and threaded parts to see if it will help, but does anyone have any suggestions? the only other option i can think of is taking them to a shop, but im not happy about paying to get this done. it should be easier....
thanks for any help

Use some channel locks and hold the metal shaft in place with them. If you are reusing the shock wrap a towel or something to keep the channel locks from tearing up the metal rod. When I didn't have air tools and the nut would get stuck or the allen hole would get stripped I would do this.
