Info: 91 crx si with a ZC motor 92-95.

What hapened: I was driving home when the car just died on me. No check engine light came on, only the battery light came on when i rolled to a stop. Thinking it might just be the battery I checked and it was fine. I tried to start it up again, but it wouldn't work. The engine sounded like it was turning, but wouldn't start. Towed it home shortly after. The following day I took out the alternator and brought it to autozone to find that it was working fine. I am lost in what to do. I'm thinking that it might be the wiring to the ecu or the ecu itself. I'm not sure how to check the wiring on its own or the ecu if those are the problems.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

 

Id say distributor, check for spark... also check your timing belt

 

okay, i'll try that... do you still think that it could be the ecu or the wiring though?

Checked and replaced the distributor cap. The rotor is hard to get out with that screw. The screw sems like it is in there pretty tight. I'm going to check on that as soon as i can get it out. The timing belt is also fine. So I hope that it is just the rotor. If not what would be my next option? The ignition coil?
