Idle adjustment

when I start my car it starts fine then idles at like 500. It was running fine last week, I heard you can adjust the idle but is there anything I should look for or try to do first?

ya u can adjust the idle at the distributor i think...never had to do it so dont know how. i know thats also how you can advance the timing and tune the engine.

There is a throttle adjustment screw underneath where the throttle cable ties into the throttle body. Play with that to get your idle where you want it.
