Got a jdm cluster with no plugs, made my own plugs, fucked up my cluster wiring and electric speed sesor not working. Im just saying screw it and gonna change out to another 88 dash harness and use a 90-91 hf cluster with the 5k redline for vtec. Um my question is what all plugs does the dash harness consist of? Of course the cluster wires but what else and how hard is it besides taking out the dash? I also have an old alipine alarm wired in and would like to go ahead and get rid of that too...

if the wires on your stock harness are still the same color (hehe) then it isn't that hard to solder on new plugs correctly. Hell of alot easier than changing the harness, that's for sure.
Get the correct plugs with 4 inches of wire attached and fix your harness by the many many color to color cluster wiring instructions that exist on the internet.

I wish i had a good wiring diagram for you, but it's definately worth searching.

 

it seems as if no one has yet to complete a color wiring chart for an 88 dx to 90-91 jdm cluster. The 88 has a little different wiring than the rest. My fuel and temp gauge wont work and they are only like 1 wire each... some colors are the same and everyones wiring schematics are different.
