Default TIAL waste gate with Leaded gas

I have a 38mm TIAL waste gate, and it said that if am going to run leaded gas I need a different waste gate. Does this only mean if I only run leaded fuel.

I ask because I was thinking of running leaded gas at the track and 93 on the street. With two different A/F maps.

wastegate has nothing to do with the type of gas you use...

Then why whould the waste gate have a tag on it that says not for leaded gas?

You want a new valve that is made for leaded gas. Call Tial.

any tial dealer can get you the race valve, the material the valve is made out of can handle the leaded gasoline vs the stock valve it comes with. people that arent tial dealers tell you that you need a whole new wastegate.

I ran a mix of 110 and pump and didn't by a new wastegate. I think its just not recommended, it ran fine.

I talked to Tial about this a while back. From what I was told, occasional use of leaded gas will not affect it, but if you consistently use leaded gas, the valve will eventually stick.

I bought a new valve from Kinetic Motorsport, a local shop. It's fine for a few passes but I plan on making more than a few passes
