I've heard of people doing this making it like a test pipe. How is it done? Does it really enhance hp?

 

yeah it frees up the exhaust gases. its not hard to do. the only bitch is punchin out all the "honeycomb" and pullin out the resonator ****". just get a metal pole or something and jam it in that biatch and keep doin it til everything comes out piece by piece.

 

well my friend has a test pipe on his 90 ls with i/h/e/cams/pp head and his car smells like sheeeeet i dunno if is the pp head or wut, but i dont think the test pipe helps any. i ran my car w/o the muffler and man it smelled bad

 

it doesnt smell that bad... unless your car is on in a closed garage. i got turbo.. if anything.. it would smell alot worse.

 

Yeah, a gutted cat or test pipe is going to smell like **** either way and a test pipe will be extremely loud!
