antoher one!
sorry. anyways...I know you have experience with dirt bikes....but a sportbike is a very different ball game. I'd still get something small and at-least almost standard like, just until you get acustomed to riding on pavement. On dirt you can make mistakes and easily walk away from them. On asphalt , you'll be lucky to LIMP away.
take the MSF corse !!!
as for your size, it doesn't matter, go to a shop and sit on them all, see which one you feel the most comfortable on. (but with your small size and weight, I would really start out small, 400lbs+ is alot to be controlling between your legs.)

atleast you have riding experience.... and your not young at all. there are alot more stupid inexperienced squids out there buying new liter bikes thinking they can ride only to wreck. and actually your dirt riding may make you a better street rider.
thanks for the support ..... does anyone live in BC Canada here ?? im asking this to see if anyone can refer me to a shop around here that does good work .. because my regualar shop for my dirt bike stuff has now closed down
