Default Car not starting...

Well this car never seems to work when I want it to. The other day I washed my car then went to start it and it didn't start. I thought, ok, get jumped. I got a jump and then drove the car about 45 minutes to make sure that my battery was charged. I have an optima yellowtop and my car always starts. So I didn't start my car for a couple days as I had wisdom teeth taken out. I go to start it, nothing. So I got another jump. I don't know what is the problem. Is my alternator bad? What can I check? I checked all the connections and they are good. When I go to start my car without a jump, I hear a clicking noise around the in dash fuse box. I have a 90 Crx dx also. Please help guys. I am driving a beater civic hatch right now and I just want my rex to work.

take your alt.. off and take it to autozone and they can test it and see if its bad or not,
that sounds like the problem to me

before i took off the alternator i would make sure that the battery post were on tightly and also make sure that you have water in your battery before you remove your alternator. and if that does not work you dont have to take off the alternator drive the car to autozone an have them check it while it is on the vehicle

I have an Optima yellowtop battery. How do I put water in it? I didn't think I needed to put water in it.
