Default what catback to buy for a 98 civic hx??

i am planning on doing a motor swap dropping in a b18c..and i wanted to purchase a catback and only have to worry about custom fabbing/welding near the cat. but ive noticed that looking for ones to buy they are pretty much for dx's,ex's,and si's. which one do i buy that will work underneath my car?? i know the civic ex is almost identical to the hx besides vtec...would i be able to buy an ex catback and have it fit perfectly under my car? thanks alot!

pretty much any 96-98 coupe catback will work with your car

No. EX and Si ones won't work.

The D16Y5 has a close-coupled cat like the D16Y7. I'd try a DX/LX cat-back first.

Wait till you get your swap, and when you do the swap install a cat and exhaust for a 96-00 EX coupe. Putting a DX/HX exhaust is a waste of time and money, because it will bolt up now but when you get your swap it'll have to be fabricated to fit the swap.
