I have been trying to research info on putting an S2000 steering wheel in my accord. I need the airbag toi work only, some have said that it will some said it goes in but airbag horn and cc will not work i don't even care about the horn but i need the airbag to pass inspection " legally" so if anyone has more info or write ups let me know . much appreciated

Air bag should work fine, it shouldn't even throw a code with the picky SRS

 

see thats one of the reasons i want to get the s2k wheel cuz i have the srs light and i need a new cable reel and thats like 150 and the accord wheel is kind of big and the s2k is smaller. since i can't pass inspection without the wheel with an airbag i want to get one with why not the s2k wheel. for how much it costs its worth it to me to get an s2k wheel

 

I just put one in my 97 no srs light. i tried to buy one used it was a piece of crap, so i got one new $870 wow. it bolts right up just the hole for the cable reel is not in the same place as the accord wheel but every thing works fine. good luck finding one, look to spend 450 to 500 on a used one.

 

Thanks man that was the reply that i was hoping for i am going to be looking for one. Hopefully the classifieds have some or egay but im not sure where to check? any ideas where else they might have them.

i heard that the airbags wont work if you install it on a 94-95 accord, not sure why, its just what i heard.

 

yeah i heard that to from a few posts but it seems that in the 96-97 it works so hopefully when i find an s2k wheel i can make it work. no aftermarket wheel for me just oem goodness

 

so wait what the s2k wheel is swapable in our acccordS ???


as in u dont need a hub it will fit perfectly ?

 

see im not sure but so far everyone has indicate that the splines line up and all of the connections should work. I have wanted to get a smaller wheel but i don't want to get aftermarket b/c of my insurance and the s2k wheel is smaller and has an airbag and oem quality so i had seen someone on here with one done already so i thought id poke around a little bit and see what would work and most say that on the 96 97 would work without any real mods . So im looking for an s2k wheel if anyone is selling one pm me!!

94 95 accord, the air bag plug is diff from the s2k bag. 96 97 is the same

 

ok now if i can only find a s2k wheel with the airbag for a decent price!! that i must say is going to be the hard part!!! Thanks again for the knowledge
