Default New here and to Civics...got some q's

hey all. i registered on the site because im heavily thinking about getting a 99-00 coupe (i would take a 01-05 coupe but cant afford one im sure!). im selling my jetta and need a new DD and lately i have been researching civics and am getting into the tasteful civics ive seen. there are some very nice looking civics running around here!
im looking for a 2 door, 5 spd, with under 100,000 on the clock. as close to stock as possible.
i defenitly want a 2 door, i just like the back end SOOO much better and just today i figured out why some 99-00 back ends differ.... i dont need an SI, just a stock DD. my plans for the car:

badgeless
drop
wheels/tires
tint

what 2 door models come with the higher rear spoiler?
is there anything i should be weary of when looking for these cars?
what should i expect to pay for a 5 spd coupe with under 100k (assuming all stock and in good condition)??

TIA

I believe just the ex and Si have the high rear spoiler! Good luck on your search for a coupe!

Ex/Si share the same style spoiler...i know because i bought mine from a kid who had one oem on his ex. Whether you get an Si or not...once it is dropped it will be an attraction to thieves....especially if its badgeless...get the ex and carry out your plans but don't forget to include security in your agenda....thieves around here are stealing bone stock bubbles and ek hatches driven by 50 year old men...so be wise!

grrrrrr mine was stolen in broad daylight when i was away for 2 hours. badgeless, dropped, armed, and starter kill. be wise. they will take any clean car. i kinda think that if u put a fat body kit on it, itll be less likely to be stolen.

All the 99-00 coupes could be ordered with the "higher" wing. The 99 si's it was an option, the 00's all had them unless ordered without (still counted as an option though). I dont' think a smaller wing for the coupes was available.

look into more than an alarm. definitely relocate the hood latch cable, some fuel switches, and take ur stereo out when u leave. that being said, they can still tow the ****

the ex lights up white and has white needles/numbers and goes to 8k...the si cluster lights up amber, orange needles/white numbers, and goes to 9k....

heres a pic of mine in my EJ8 but it's the canadian Si cluster though...

A Good price range for a ex 2 coupe with under 100k is 4-5500 meaning it has a clean title and the car is stock, If this is going to be a DD car dont get an si as most theives like to take that car, trust me i own a 00 civic si and i can barely drive it cuz i have it on lock down. Goodluck and welcome to Honda-Tech
