Default DA ground locations.

ok i'm having this problem where my idle is really rough (very low to the point where it shakes, like it's going to die, but doesn't it just shakes). it's mostly when i use something that uses power, like the lights, heater, brakes, radio, etc.

i heard that it's usual for DA's to do that. and to solve the problem they say to clean your grounds i cleaned both the one where it goes from the battery to the chassis to the tranny, and the the motor to the radiator support. and it stil does it. is there any other grounds that i have to clean and/or replace?

I'm not sure but.....

That sounds more like your alternator, not keeping your battery juiced
Or a bad battery

If you ground wasnt good the item would work at all.....

Go to your local Autozone and have them check all that, Its free
And if its not that then thats something you know isnt cousing it.

But, late night bump

that was actuatlly the first thing i did, and they said that it was normal. and then we did it again, with a max load, with everything on, the idle was rough but it still said it was normal.

My DA would idle really low when I turned on all my lights. I just turned the screw on the throttle torwards the left a little and it made my idle a whole lot better.

i understand where you're coming from, i was thinking about doing the same thing, but my idle is fine when things are off. so if i was to ajust my idle, then i would have a high idle when things are off. that's why i didn't do it. thanks though.

anyone else?

Take your alternator to Pep Boys or somewhere else and have the voltage tested on it. That most likely is the problem then!
