the 7th gen civics (01-05) manual trannies fits on 92-00 civics ???

'01-05 Civics use a cable shift linkage, as opposed to the rod linkage used on '92-00 Civics.

I'm talking about the shift linkage, not the clutch. '01-05 transmissions have a hydraulic clutch.

I have no idea, but it would be rather nice of you to pull apart both transmissions and see if you can swap the ring gear and countershaft. An inexpensive, OEM 4.4:1 FD option for '92-00 D-series trannies would be nice.
