Default I'm new, and i got a question.

Hey everybody, i just signed up. I live in a city outside of chicago. I have a 95 si hatch, with a b16 in it. Basic bolt-ons and such.

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this, but whatever. I am planning on painting my car soon. I have seen pictures of cars with the side moldings removed. I was wondering what the process is for this. Do most people do it first themselves, like preping and bondo and stuff. Or should I just ask the shop i go to for paint to do it. I would just like some input on what i should do.

BTW... I'm gonna get it painted SSBP. or

to remove the side moldings its held on b4 plastic clips. if you take off the door panels you will see the clips. and be able to remove them one by one and take the moldings out.well if you know how to paint and sand, bondo thats when you kinda prep it yourself. but if you dont know how let the shop do it for you or else after the paint is on they will say it looks bad here because of the crappy prep someone did. ( if you remove side moldings there will be holes that will needed to be covered, somes civics just dont have the moldings all together)

Most people have CX and VX models that came without side moldings from the factory.

Would painting over the moldings be an option, like having them be the same color. Cause i dont know how weel they would look being black with SSBP.
