Ok so i just got my hands on a stock in dash, it's an oem part from japan, it came off a civic type r, the in dash stock head unit has a gps navigation system/tv/cd/and mini disc. i'm having some trouble with it, for one i can't read japanese so can anyone read japanese? and two i was told that the gps navigation wouldn't work in the states cause the software was all wrong, that i would have to change software to use it here, now is this something that is easy to do? is worth the risk of ruining a rare jdm piece? any help would be apreciated, on any knowledge of this unit or ideas, i have pictures so e-mail if u wanna see them...

 

there is a how to on doing this, i do not have it saved. Run a search, im sure it'll pop out. I dont know how to work the software, but u could wire it to a DVD player...just a thought. Good luck.
