Like you want someone to recommend an installer? You want someone to come to your house to install it for you? You want to store "a dvd" in your dash? If i read this literally, that's what i'd think you are saying.

Nope - it's never been done. Be a pioneer and then write a DIY.

I heard some of the aftermarket ones people are using instead of the OEM are just plug and play. I saw the one from a meet, and it looks like the dash was just the OEM navi dash with an aftermarket navi/dvd player.

I know VTECnical from 8th gen has one that's DVD/navi.

If you were just gonna install a DVD player to the OEM navi, I have read it's a lot of work. I also read it somewhere that you can ship your navi in to this shop in New York and they'll do it then send it back to you.

I don't know what your problem is xdjyoshx but it seams like everything that have to say is negative. Listen buddy if someone asks a question and you either don't know the answer or don't care what it is then just move on.

I for one am getting tired of you. There's no need to rip on everyone.

go on scosche.com and they have a dash kit color matched to your dash, which actually have, uninstall/reinstall instructions included.

If you search "AVIC D3" on the forum you should be able to find my original post with pictures of mine installed.

Don't get the scosche one. That's the one I have installed on mine (edit: nvm, I don't have the scosche, I have another off-brand. Scosche is what I paid for, though, I looked at my receipt; installer's getting a call tomorrow;scosche comes highly recommended), and the fitment isn't right. The color matches the dash, but the texture is a bit smoother than OEM. The passenger airbag indicator light cutout in the dash kit is a quarter of an inch too low, and the three screws on the light don't match the screw holes on the dash kit.

There's also a weird spacing thing with the DIN opening and optional cd tray, and it feels like the whole opening is recessed. Oh, and my temperature gauge gets caught a bit anything over 3 clicks from cold to hot.

Doesn't Honda make a factory dash replacement kit? I went to the service/parts at Norm Reeves, and they sold it for $35, but didn't have it in stock. I'm sure the color and fitment would have been much better, as well as the overall look and feel.

I'm thinking, however, that the $35 piece that Honda sells is just the face cover, and not the actual single-to-double DIN installation kit, but I can't be sure. You may want to call the dealership and see if they anything about what they're talking about

I bought my scosche for $60.

When multiple threads are started with "I need help installing a dash kit for a dvd in the 06 civic" or "What is the best supercharger on a 06 si?" you can expect that I or someone else will be there giving a big WTF. It's not that i don't know the answer. It's that the answer is there and hasn't been searched for. Not to mention the vague requests.

"012 77250-SNA-A01ZA PANEL ASSY., CENTER (NAVI)
( UH GUN METALLIC ) 1 2007 CIVIC retail: 31.58 discount: 24.64 "

from collegehillshonda.com...

just use the factory NAVI center panel.. it's cheaper than scosche and matches perfectly.. I've been looking at doing this for awhile, and it's the way I'd go
