Default D16Y7 block w/ D15B7 head questions

Alright I put a B7 head on a Y7 block... Now i've been told by someone that I need to put an oil restrictor on the block other wise the head will get all the oil and the bottom end will be starved of oil... Is that all true?

Also another thing is if the block didn't come w/ it why would I need to put one back in?

Here is thread where all the conversating has been going on at...

To answer that question, I would look in the mini-me guide at the top of the page in the FAQ's. Bauleycivic has a detailed pic of it.

Thanks... Well I got home and took a look at the Y7 head and there was no oil squirter/ restrictor in the head so does that mean I don't need it? I'm assuming so since the engine didn't come w/ one... right?

My bad, I forgot to mention that this head is ported and polished and all that jazz...
