Default DIY: Polishing DIV3 Lip

Picked up a set of Div3's in good condition except for the lip. The clear was coming off ugly and you can see it in the first picture. Every wheel lip was in bad condition and decided to do a DIY lip polish. I'm very happy with the results. Took about 1 hr per wheel. Thanks to my lil brother Kevin, it only took us 2 hr's to finish all 4 wheels.

Original condition

After sanding with 150

After sanding with 220

After sanding with 400

After wetsanding with 600

After mothers metals polish.

Pictures didn't come out as good as it looks... but you get the idea.

After wetsanding with 600, you should've worked your way up like so; 800 => 1000 => 1200 => 1500 => 2000 (Use this if you want the metal to be mirror-like), but yours look pretty good

I was actually thinking the same thing, but if they look good already I guess its not necessary in your case

i don't think you have the right person. my brother is 20 and i don't own anything but an ek and a dc and i don't park on the street. i live in an apt complex and my cars rest in my 2 car closed in high security alarm protected survielance camera'd garage area.
