Default Locking the Cam's

I was reading over the honda manual on how to replace the head gasket on my B16A and saw that it requires you to use what they call two pin drive tools at 5.0mm. I was wondering if this is what everyone else does to lock the cam's to tighten up the cam gears? Any help is greatly appreciated...
