Just recently my car has started to make a loud clunking noise. It happens during right hand turns (louder in reverse with steering wheel all the way to the right) and sometimes when braking. I have no clue what it could be except for maybe a CV? joint. Ive never heard of it, but my friend with a 1990 civic hatch had to have his replaced. Do you guys have any ideas?? I tried a search, but nothing on clucking or clicking that pretain to my subject.

 

My friend had that same problem on his 91 CRX. It was his axle.

 

What was wrong with the axle? Did he have to replace the whole thing?? Do you have any clue as to how much he paid for it? Thank you!!
