How To Tell If You Need A New Ignition Switch or Ignition Cylinder?

As the title states.
Right now my ignition will move to ACC 1, but not ACC 2. Which means I cannot start my car.

don't know, jiggle the steering wheel while you do it. otherwise pull the steering column off, take the cap off the back off the ign cylinder and start it with a screwdriver, then just put the key to the 1st pos. to unlock the column.. I mean if you're stuck

On the left side of the cylinder opposite of the key hole there is a plastic white cap and there should be 2 screws take those off the cap comes off and there is a slit in the cap stick and objectn that is i guess like a jey of flat head and turn and the car should turn up......like the guy said myn was stolen to and myn was apart and hanging thats how i know and i was a tech so eh....
