Default Vtech tranny and Vtech timmer

so my new EK doesnt have a vtech tranny. is this not helping my power. i suppose so right. also is it smart to install a vtech timmer or regulator to kick in my vtech earlier because i heard it puts a lot of stress on the engine. also which ones, if it is best to do, should i go with

ok first theres no such thing as a vtec tranny. 2nd what motor is in your EK? best tranny to get would be one from an EX. i would keep your vtec where it is until you get some more mods. it doesnt put any stress on the motor either.

please rephrase your question, im not exactly sure what your question is. Are you asking if an earlier vtec engagement point will help with power???? And its VTEC.

I think the kid that wrote that note is on the same level intellectually as the OP.

If your motor is internally stock, you will only lose power by moving the vtec crossover.

Do you have a b16a or a b16a2? Also if you got a complete motor swap from someone, more than likely you have a "VTEC" tranny. Any manual transmission is going to be able to hold up to almost any power level for the most part, it's the clutch that will have a hard time. Also, you should leave "VTEC" right where it is b/c you are not making gobbs of power so you shouldn't change where "VTEC" engages!

My $.02!
