whats up everyone

i DID use the search, but i still have questions about my starter/solenoid. i read the other posts and i have a similar problem to some other people. when i try to start my car (96 accord ex) i just hear the clicking sound. the battery is fine, i tested it and it has plenty of juice - the lights aren't dimmed out on the dash at all. unfortunately, nothing turns over right away. when its a cold start, it can take anywhere from turning the key 3 times to 30 times. when the engine is warm it generally takes less than 10 turns of the key to get it going. someone told me that it was prolly the starter solenoid that needs to be replaced, but i was lookin online and i couldnt find that as a standalone part. im assuming i would just need to replace the starter. is this right? or can someone tell me what they think i should do?

 

Yeah you just need to replace the starter, mine was doing the same thing occasionally just clicking and then starting and then it just started clicking and wouldn't start at all.

forgive me for asking,, but why did you BUMP when the answer was given to you by SPEEDFREAK ?? did you not like his advice ?? he is correct if cables are tight and clean you need a starter
