I was wondering if was possible to just swap out engine harnesses if you were to buy a d16z6 complete engine with all sensors and IM, fuel, rail, injectors and ecu.

pardon my ignorance.
I haven't really looked at everything.
but I figured a d16z6 complete motor with sensors, d16z6 engine harness and d16z6 ecu it would all work together.

nope
i would make a ******* remark about it but its like 12 and I have a kid
nah man its good that u have the complete harness cuz ur gonna hevt o cit some **** off the z6 harness to wire it up to your dx harness
i.e. injectors, vtakk plugs, dizzy plugs
go to rywire and by there obd0-1 conversion harness.
Keep the 4 wire o2 sensor if its still attatched to the z6 harness
just get the p28 pinout and work at it for a week or so and u'll be super jdm fast hittin vtakk all the way down the highway

I got the p28 ecu, d16z6 harness and d15b auto harness. What all do I need to get my d16z6 running. Is their any place online that will tell me? I would really like make this project as much DIY as possible. Should I just buy the complete dx to obd1 vtec harness from rywire of just get like the obd-0 to obd1 harness?
Yes, send both, turnaround is like 1-3days in my hands, and priority 2-3 days back. Yes it is expensive, but think of it this way... Its plug and play, and will look factory. I can give tech on the swap, and I have done this conversion like 1,000 times, and I basically NEVER screw up, lol.

did you go dx to d16z6?
I have to send in both harness's correct? how was the turnaround time?
thanks.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Everything went good, except on my part. I gave him my, dx harness from my parts car (DX with a ZC in it, because my si harness was chopped up), but forgot to mention it to him. When i had got home the plugs didnt match up, called him and told him what happend, and just traded the harness he made, and gave him a my old si si harness. Ryan made it work. I live in the Bay area so i just drove down, the only thing i had to do was extend a wires for 2 plugs the MAP sensor, and i think TPS. No biggie.

The wires that you have to extend are the Map, and the Purge solenoid(if you decide to use the engine mounted sensors). They are located on the firewall harness(not engine), and need to reach the engine mounted sensors.

so basically if i buy the dx mpfi obd1 harness [$300] from rywire with the plug n play option and completing the swap with the d16z6 motor i changed from dpfi to mpfi and ob0 to obd1? that would be everything i need OTHER than the full z6 motor and ecu?
ill be buying the d16z6 in a month or so, so could you guys name everything i would be needing to come with the engine? thanks.

You can get a p28 out of a 92-95 civic Si, or Ex. Look to spend around $80-$175, look around because the P28 is a very desirable ECU. Make sure the ECU is for a 5spd.
For parts this site has good info on the swap http://www.thezcr.com/html/odbiconversion.php
