I don't recomend the Passport 7500. It was really weak on the Ka band. I went to Best Buy and returned it (since I orgionaly wanted the 8500 for my b-day) and all I can say is muchhhhh better. On the way back from the store the 8500 saved me from a 90 in a 55. It paid for its self before I even got home
But if you have the money go V1

Word up to the Valentine. Saved me plenty of times in the 4 months that I have had mine. It is a little bit pricey...but much less expensive than the cost of 1 big speeding ticket.
V1! I was a skeptic. Bought it, took a trip down to FL (10hr trip)... it saved my *** at least 2 times doing 100 in 70. It more than paid for itself.
thanks to Toda Party for rec. and info.

Yes, but no matter which radar detector you get, you don't have much protection against laser, unless a car in front of you refracts part of the beam.
Laser = The best weapon in their arsenal.

This **** works. I'm going to buy one. I found a professional web site for one of these, a sweedish company, I'll post the url when I find it again.

The two products are:
Blinder M-10 Laser Jammer
http://www.blinder.dk is the website of the manufacturer, which is Danish, not Swedish.
There are various places in the U.S. which sell this unit, including:
http://www.blinder.net
http://www.radarbusters.com
Lidatek Laser Echo
http://www.lidatek.com is the website for the manufacturer. It says that this unit is no longer available, that they're transitioning to a new product, to be available May 1.
