Default Oxygen sensor???

Ok i got a b16 in a 92 hatchback and I kept throwing CEL #1 so i got a new sensor but i got it for free and they said it was from a single cam well after a few days it went out and that was a brand new sensor. I got O2 problems when i got headers. Anyone have any input? Are dohc and sohc cam 02 different?

the O2 sensor has to match the ECU not the engine.
Since you have a 92 I'm betting you have a chipped P28 or a P30. A SOHC four-wire O2 is fine.

if you keep having O2 issues like this it's time to check out your wiring. faulty connections or intermitent shorting will cause problems quickly.

your bad gas mileage is from the ECU being in limp home mode due to the O2 CEL, not from the header.

Removing an O2 sensor from one header and installing it into another can damage a weak O2 sensor. If you're positive your wiring is good, replace the sensor and you should be CEL free.
