Default Sh0rt Shifter. lame

lol i bought this short shifter from a shop around my pad and its retardely short lol and is too forward.. ne ways. my question is,

its REALLY hard to move side to side and i cant tell if im in gear or not. whats the problem? thx.

Pic might help. Right now I picture a single bend installed backwards.

it doesnt have any bends.. i dont think it can be installed backwards because its perfectly straight.

even if it was some cheap *** shifter, moving side to side shouldn't change.

Did they install or you?

Was the pivot ball greased well? an ungreased ball may cause enough friction to make it a bit difficult to move.

My gues is though is that the bolt connecting the shifter to the shift rod is WAY too tight, I know for sure this will make it difficult to move.

try taking it apart and lubing up the bushings....and don't tighten it too much!

sounds like a B&M style shifter if it has no bends or some knock off of it...

make sure the shifter isn't binding against your exhaust... thats a pretty common problem with short shifters that bind in neutral only...

lol. i did a typo .. but it moves better now.. i knew i should have put grease on it, the ******** i was installing with were like, no dont worry about it, it will be fine, .. fucken bastards. lol

shart shifter haha!! its because u bought a piece of shiet n your brain wanted to tell u somehow to it had u type in "shart" haha but yea ne ways i had the same prob with my old "shart shifter" from my crx and it ended up being that the bolt or whatever was to tite, so the peeps at a shop told me. so they loostned it up a little and it worked perfectly

my short shifter was cut..i cut my stock one..its great...its just like a short shifter.

Shart shifter haha! So you cut yours...I did that to but its pointless if you dont feel a difference! I like em short but rather have them to be a short throw! Yours still shifts the same...the only thing that changed was the look!

mine is real, i bought a real one, its a 30% less throw. its just too low now lol.. cuz i got one without the bend in it, maybe ill trade it out.... and lay off with the typo, i was tired! lol
