94 GSr burping water out of the radiator and overflow...
Ok, heres the short version..
My car didn't have a thermostat in it. I put one in it Friday. It wants to now blow water out of the overflow bottle.
I was told that I have air in the system so I drained all the water and opened the lil bleeder valve and just let water run through it.
It's not as bad as it was, but it still blows water out of the overflow. But, it's not all water though. It blows air.
I can go and drive it around, and when I get back, the overflow is bubbling. I can take the cap off and lots of air is coming out of the tube thats connected to the cap.
Another thing it does, while its off, you can fill the radiator and it'll slowly seep down. You can kinda shake the car and it'll go down too, w/little bubbles coming up.
There aren't any leaks that I can see either.
The car runs perfect, no white smoke or anything.
I sure hope it is indeed air in the system.. I can't afford to have a cracked head
My dads got a lil thing that you test for exhaust with, in the water, I'll see if I can at least narrow down if it's a cracked head/headgasket or not.
Any other thoughts/suggestions?

run it with the radiator cap off for a while and let it run for awhile. Then you might want to check your plugs and then consider a compression check.
yep. just make sure the radiator coolant neck is higher than your hoses going to the block. I sometimes jack the nose of the car up a little bit just to be sure. Then let it idle until no more bubbles come out (topping off the coolant as needed).

Good suggestion on jacking the car up, I can see where that might be helpful.
Just to add a lil more info, there is no water in the oil or visa versa and again, no smoke of any kind and it runs as good as new.

The most common possibility is that the thermostat is sticking closed causing your overheating issue. But another possibility is that you have a small leak somewhere in the system which is bleeding enough coolant off to cause air in the system, then it overheats.
The testing fluid is blue. If it turns yellow theres an exhaust leak.
It turned a shade of yellow.
I'm devistated.

could just be a valve, just chill for a while now you gotta remove the head, but there is still a good chance your in good shape... a crappy head gasket and bent valve could easily be your problem

Its not a bent valve.. Theres no noise and the freakin thing screams..
I"m hopin its just the headgasket..
I'll figure out the best plan to go with this weekend...
And the worse thing: I think it was sold to me like this....
