Default losing 1 quart of oil after swap?

ok i'm stumped. i just finished my swap (h22a) and have driven the car for only a week with no vtec engagements or high reving. i checked the oil to find it at the lowest level?! i put 5 quarts of 10w-30 initially.

obviously i checked the ground for leaks and there is a dime sized puddle everywhere i park. no problem but can this really drain 1 full quart of oil in 1 week?! is it normal for a new motor to consume that much oil on it's maiden drive?! please give me good news.

btw, there is no smoke so i don't think the internals are affecting anything (i hope) . i'm also using the accord oil pan and pickup. the accord pickup is exactly the same as the h22a. the oil pan differs a little but it works. can this be causing this as well? i will check for the source of the leak today but why 1 quart?!

talked to my buddy who is a honda tech and he said that the h22a uses 5.7 quarts of oil!!! so i was already short 0.7 quarts. also at initial startup after being unused for so long the oil will need flow through the motor. this will take more oil as well.

so it's all good now. after adding more oil, it hasn't gone down since. phew!

and i can't believe no one here knew this! either that or yall are lazy .

Without pinpointing a general area on the car it could be impossible to guess at everything that could leak.
I know on civics I usually check the Rear main seal, and axle seal seem to always leak on me. No matter how gently i pop them suckers in.

Also the oil pan sounds like the first place I would start.
