i have a 91 civic, stock engine, and i replaced the rotor and the cap on the distributor. the rotor was bad and thats why it quit on me and wouldnt start back up
Then i replaced it and it started back up. Now the check engine light is on and when i get high rpm's it jerks hard or stuters and wont let go higher in rpm's or acceleration unledd i shift , it does this for everygear, before the rotor went i used to be able to get higher rpm's and it never jerked hard......................................any ideas on what the problem is? ..........help

did u put the screw back into the side of the rotor?

 

lol didnt like my advice so made a new thread your either hitting rev limit and not realizeing it, or you need to check your whole dizzy to make sure its ok then start ruleing other things out

take a look at your spark plugs, wires, dizzy, coil if you have one, etc untill you find your problem
