Use clutch break-in?
I brought an exedy used organic clutch kit and got done installing it just a few days ago. I was wondering is there a need to break it in?

Play it safe and break it in. I must say, I got the best gas mileage I have ever gotten during clutch break-in (no doubt due to the super conservative driving style, and low-rpm shifts).

A friend of mine commuted from Turlock, CA to Red Bluff, CA 5 days a week for his work. According to yahoo maps that is 226.4 miles each direction, and about 3 1/2 hours each way. That is way too damn far to commute. He has a CB chassis Accord, with 680,000 miles on the car, and has only rebuilt the motor once. I believe he has changed the clutch about 4 times. He probably has the clutch broken in by the time he gets home from work. Although, a clutch does require shifting to break in, so if you choose to get your mileage on the freeway (like my friend) it is a good idea to downshift into fourth, and back into fifth gear every so often.
