two questions about resistor boxes (injector drivers)
got conflicting results from FAQ and search. Im going to be doing this myself so I want to be sure.
1) what are they for or what do they do? I was under the impression they used a direct power source(battery) and provided equal power to the injectors to ensure they fire optimally.
2) I thought they required a direct power source? Ive done some searching, and some people say it needs a direct power source. Others say they dont. Maybe it depends which brand or type of box is being used. Ill be using the FJO box w/ 1000cc Precisions on OBD1 P28 with OBD2-1 harness.

The resistor box is the power to the injectors, yes. The ECU doesn't provide power, it provides a grounding source. The circuit goes switched power -> resistor box single power input -> resistor box 4 wire output to each injector -> injector -> 4 wires to ECU -> ground.
At least that's how it is on stock, I'm assuming you have the 5-wire FJO box.

OK I think I understand it. The hardest part for me is going to be figuring out what wires to cut for power and injectors since A) my stock injector harness was cut and stolen, and B) I havent seen any diagrams or explanations on OBD2b Integras.
Yes, Ill be using the 5wire FJO box.
Thanks for your help.
