the general consensus is that 4-1 headers are better. if you decide to stick with the b16 get a toda header, best header for the b16 imo

u can get a header equal or better in performance for much less than the toda. though a nice header, very expensive. the rmf narrow seems to be the hands down winner when it comes to production headers, 700$ for coated mild steel. there are many good headers out now, just how much do u want to spend. probly would be best to give ur price range, and make recomondations from there.

Thats funny cuz I have seen dyno's of the RMF making less than others. Get off the bandwagon guy. Not saying that Randy doesn't know what he's doing or anything, he's a very good builder, but there is no such thing as "best."

And to the creator, you can't go off simply a "4-2-1 vs. 4-1" theory. On any motor, and any dyno, the Toda WILL beat a DC 4-1. Sure you're paying more $$ for it, but it just goes to show that you can't base your decision off of what you posted. The old saying "You get what you pay for" applies here.....are you serious about making horsepower?

i honestly dont think it makes a whole lot of difference. smsp uses a 421 while others are 41 . all make great power given their setups.

clean rice u clearly did not read my post. never did i say it was the best, and i mentioned that there are many other good headers avalible and that it would be best to give us a price range and goals so we could make better recomondations.

yes smsp, hytec, rmf and all of the other high caliber header companies make exellent headers that make great power, but not every one has the buget for one.

why dont u relax, before u have a heart attack

Of the header comparisons I've seen the tri-y design seems to beat both 4-1 and 4-2-1. As far as 1 or 2 piece, a 1 piece weighs less, you have 1 less gasket to worry about and there is no gain difference going 1 or 2 piece. I currently have a DC 4-1 stainless w/ 2.5" collector (I got it real cheap...that's the only reason I'm running a DC)

Do you seriously expect myself, or for that matter anyone else, to not presume that you are saying that one certain header is THE BEST? Come on guy, look at the way you type, and "suckier?" **** I think the last time I heard that was out of a 6 year old's mouth. You can say that "I'm on the Rocket bandwagon," thats fine..it doesn't bother me at all. But if you'd pull your head out and look around, you will actually see me recommend SEVERAL different kinds of cams to other people. I recommend cams based off: motor setup, driving style, and budget. You will never see me recommend M22x cams for a stock B16, or M25e's on a high compression 1.8. I don't come on H-T to argue with people, but when newbies come on here and start spoutin off pretending like they know everything and providing false information, THATS where I personally get pissed off. Not saying that I know allot, but I do come on here allot and spend time reading and learning from many many people on this site, too many to list but they know who they are. Just because you see a few dyno graphs doesn't make you an expert. Done.
